How it works

Where rent comes from

An account stays alive if it holds the rent-exempt minimum. That minimum is a base amount plus a per-byte amount, read from the chain. If the chain is unreachable, the page falls back to the documented default and says so.

What the fee is made of

A transaction pays 5,000 lamports per signature, plus a priority fee of compute unit limit times compute unit price, rounded up to a whole lamport. A Jito tip is a separate transfer on top.

What the percentiles mean and miss

The p25 to p90 buttons come from getRecentPrioritizationFees, which returns the lowest fee that landed in each recent slot. That understates what a busy account needs, so treat them as a floor and test on your own accounts.

Nothing is stored

Your inputs stay in the browser. The page makes one request for network numbers and does not save or send what you type.

Questions about this tool

Is rent refundable?

The rent-exempt balance is a deposit held in the account. When you close an account, the lamports go to the address you name. The amount shown here is that deposit, not a fee.

Why does my wallet show a different fee?

Wallets often add their own priority fee, a different compute unit limit, or a tip. This page uses the values you enter, so match the limit and price in the transaction you are comparing.

Why is p50 zero?

The percentiles come from the lowest fee that landed in each recent slot. In many slots that is zero, so the middle value can be zero while a busy account still needs to pay more.

Does this cover Jito tips?

It adds a tip you type in, in lamports, to the total. It does not suggest a tip size. Tip sizing depends on the bundle and on the moment.
