Constraint
pump.science needed a secure, scalable Web3 solution that could handle high traffic while providing a seamless user experience. The challenge was to build on Solana with optimal performance and minimal gas costs.
Approach
We delivered a cohesive Web3 platform that revolutionizes longevity research by tokenizing science and real-time transparency. Our tech stack implementation solved pump.science's challenges on multiple levels:
Tokenized Research Funding: We built a bonding curve mechanism were each longevity compound receives its own token for example $RIF for Rifampicin, $URO for Urolithin A. As tokens reach market caps of 133 SOL, the fund automatically flow to contract research organizations, CROs, to initiate experiments that start with inexpensive worm studies at just 3 SOL ($500) and then advancing to flies, mice, and eventually human trials as trading fees accumulate.
Real-Time Data Streaming: We implemented a complex data pipeline that streams live results directly from labs to platform. Users can watch experiments happening in real-time, see actual lifespan data, movement metrics and survival curves as they're generated, thus transforming scientific research into public science where the community can follow progress.
Research To Market: Latest innovation extends beyond research, pump.science now partners with supplement brands to conduct controlled human studies. Their products represent real-world applications where supplement companies sponsor studies on their compounds, human participants receive the supplements and are tracked for outcomes, efficacy data is generated transparently on-chain, brands gain credible scientific validation that drives trust and token holders can see their research investments translate into actual products.
Smart Contract Architecture: Our smart contract handle complex token economics such as dynamic fee models to prevent bot manipulation, automated liquidity migration to Meteora DEX at set milestones, IP rights management through adhesion contracts that give token holders governance over research outcome.
Gamified Prediction Market: We also created an interface where users can speculate on compounds effects, crowdsourcing buth funding and scientific prediction.
Public Science Infrastructure: All data is published on-chain, creating an never before seen level of scientific openness. Basically anyone can analyze the data, make proposals or build on existing research with no gatekeeping.
Scalable Platform Design: We built the architecture for expansion beyond the initial compounds, basically supporting unlimited experiments accross different model organisms like worms, flies and mice with extensible data schemas and flexible deployment pipelines.
The result is a platform that has generated more than $1M in volume, creating open access to longevity research while creating funding mechanisms for scientific breakthroughs and drastically reducing research times. pump.science shows that Web3 can accelerate scientific discoveries by bringing together incentives between researchers, funders and the community seeking healthspan innovation.
